Electron Beam Accelerator

 

Novel high performance accelerator structure fabricated from two split sections with distributed coupling. The Dymenso developed precision alignment technique provides micron level alignment between two split sections.

Split Section

 

High precision alignment of the two sections is achieved through an elastic averaging interface coupling. The method provides substanial cost reductions over conventional acceleratores structures due to the reduced part count. The monoblock split sections allow for highly optimized cooling configurations with enhanced heat removal in high heat flux regions,reducing vacuum wall thermal stresses and enabling higher power operation.
